The National Park in Chennai
In this article, I welcomed to say about the one and only beautiful and small national park in India. It is a nice entertainment and tourist park situated in chennai. This is the only small park in India. This national park contains lots of variety of birds, animals over there. Many trees were planted. This is a very nice tourist place. All people love it to see.
The National Park is near Guindy at Chennai. The landmark is adjacent to Raj Bhavan. It is situated in Mambalam. This Guindy National Park spreads over 270 hectares in surrounding. The area which is fully evergreen forests. This is the smallest National Park in India. It contains animals such as Chital, elephant, spotted dear, jungle cat , toddy cat, black buck, jackal, Indian civet and pangolin. And birds such as honey buzzard, black winged kite and pariah kite are also there in this Park. Additionally snakes, crocodiles and turtles are also present to see by all.
This is the place all the students, family members, friends and all the tourists members can come and visit this park. The details of visiting this National Park is has been given below:
The timings were to enter into this park is at – 9.00am to 5.30 pm.
The price to enter into this National Park is:
1. For childrens below five years is free of cost.
2. For childrens of 5 to 12 years is 10 rupees.
3. For Adults – 15 rupees.
4. For taking inside camera – 25 rupees.
5. For taking Video camera – 150 rupees.
6. For car parking – 15 rupees.
There was an interesting story behind the growth of this Guindy National Part. Once before there was actually this place is a hunting preservative area. The British citizen named Gilbert Rodericks were having this hunting preserve place. This place is under control of him. Once after his death this place is moved on to the Government of Madras. Then the government made changes over this place and thought to make this place as Park. That is why now that place becomes Guindy National Park now.Good Features of Guindy National Park
There were plant life and animal life sanctuary is created over this national park. Many new kind of variety of various plants has been created. Moreover 24 varieties of trees have been created over this national park. And there are 14 types of mammals are there in this national park. It is all of great kind by the government. There were 37 variety of birds are also there in this park. These things will make attractive by all the members and tourists, and make them to visit this place often.
