Allahabad is one of the popular sacred city in Uttar Pradesh State. It is a major center for the pilgrimage. This city plays an important in the Hindu mythology. 1) Sangam – Sangam is the one of the must visit place in Allahabad. It is the point where Ganga meets the Yamuna. Many prigrims visit to this place to offer pind of their deceased relatives. The sacred Sangam is the combination of three holiest rivers in Hindi mythology – Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. Tourists can use the boats to lookout the Sangam. The visitors will need to pay the government charges to reach the ghats.
2) Kumbh Mela – It is one of the largest religious fair in the world. Many pilgrims, priests and tourists come from all the parts of India to take part in this fair especially sadu's and naga babas . Many foreigners from all around the world also took participate in Maha Kumbh Mela. There is an interesting story behind this kumbh mela due to which this Kumbh Mela take place after few years gap.
3) Allahabad Fort – It is one of the popular forts of the Allahabad city which was built by the great Mughal emperor, Akbar in 1583 A.D.
