Early Life of Manna Dey
Manna Dey was born on 1st May 1919. His father's name was Prabodh Chandra Dey and mother's name was Mahamaya Dey. His real name was Prabodh Chandra Dey but he is famous as Manna Dey to all the music lovers. From his childhood days he was attracted to music and it is due to his l Uncle's influence on him. His Uncle was Krishna Chandra Dey who was a well-known singer and actor of New Theatres Company at that time. Later he started working independently as music director for different successful Hindi Films. In the year 1943 Manna Dey make his first debut as a playback singer in the Hindi movie"Tamanna "and the song became very popular. After that he never have to look back.
