Let us pray for these unfortunate souls

It is not a sin to be born into any family, anywhere in the world. For, one does not have any control over it.

However, the unfortunate souls now living in Manipur, in a climate of hatred and terrible violence, where the State has virtually surrendered itself and law and order has been, and is still a big worry, would be wanting to resettle elsewhere and this is already happening.

Those who are somewhat educated, should pack their bags and head towards Mumbai and the entire South of India, where they will at least find a BPO job. And the part-time opportunities to study and prosper and just too many in each of the South Indian States and in Maharashtra as well.

All that we can now do is to pray God that someone emerges from somewhere and guides them to the path of peace, where people sit together and reconcile their differences. We just do not have any choice now. We can only pray and if we can all raise from funds with the sure knowledge that it will be spent for useful purposes, let us all do whatever little is possible.

Manipur problem is not a new problem and is going there since many decades. Being in a remote part the country it was ignored by earlier governments in power and proper development and bringing the people to main stream was not done. Since independence, the problems in Manipur increased manifold and now they have reached an explosive stage and even the present government is in a fix as how to mitigate the problems in that area.
The present government will have to take corrective actions to bring peace and harmony in that region which is of course a difficult job. Local people are in an agitated state of mind and they will not listen to the sweet words of any politician unless concrete measures are taken and results shown to them. We cannot achieve peace in any region without taking care of the concerns of local people.
