Maha Kumbabishekam of Siddhi Vinayagar Temple
In this article, I had presented about Maha Kumbabishekam which is held in Siddhi Vinayagar Temple near Saidapet. In Hindu religious, it was one of the biggest traditional events. More number of political parties came and participated in this function. More detailed information about this event has been presented in this article.
Maha Kumbabishekam
The Maha Kumbabishekam of Arulmigu Muchandi Siddhi Vinayagar temple and Vada Thiruporur Sivasubramania Swamy temple which is at Seshachala Mudali Street has been occurred. In Saidapet, it has been held on 23rd January 2013 around 9.00am to 10.00am has been occurred. The program has begun at 6am, starting with Yogasalai Pooja and followed by Parivara Yagasala and Poornadhi. Then the programs of Maha Sangalpam, Dasadanam, Yathradanam and Mahapoornadhi have been held at 9.00am.
On the time of 9.45am, Vimana Kumbabishekam had started. Then Thirukudamuzhakku for Sri Siddhi Vinayagar and Sri Valli Devanai Sameda Sri Subramania Swamy had been continued with the program. Then at 11.30am, the Maha Abishekam, Yajamana Utsavam and Acharya Utsavam had been held over there. At 7.30pm, special flower Alankaram, Thirukalyanam and Veedi Purapadu had also been arranged in Temple. All the things went in time as like Thiruvizha.
The TamilNadu Minister for Hindu religious and Endowment board Mr. MSM Anandan, and Minister of Social welfare Mrs. B. Valarmathi will be participating in this Maha Kumbabishekam. Even our Chennai Mayor Mr. Saidai Duraisamy will be participating in this function. Then more members of politics like south Chennai Member of Parliament Mr. Chitlapakkam Rajendran and Saidapet MLA Mr. Senthamizhan also been participated in this function. More number of political parties included and added up the function delightful.
For this Maha Kumbabishekam, there were several spiritual programs has been conducted from 17th to 22nd January 2013. Programs like Homams, Abishekams, Goh Pooja, Dhana Pooja, Yagasala Pooja, Raksha Bandan, Sarva Devatha Prarthana, Nadisanthanam, Ashtabandanam, Dravyahoothi, Sarva Vadhyam, Kumba Alankaram, Dathvarchana, Vaasthu Shanty, Angurarpanam, Sparsahoothi and Deeparathana were arranged by the temple premises. From 24th January till 12th March, the Mandala Abishekam will be held.About Lord Vinayagar
Lord Vinayagar is also known as Elephant God. He was worshipped by Hindu religious people. He was calling in the names of Ganesh, Ganapati, Vigneshwara, Pillayar, Ekdanta, Lambodara and Gajaanana. He was the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The structure of Vinayagar gives more valuable information to the people. He had big head(think big), small eyes(concentrate), large ears(listen more), rope(to pull you nearer to the highest goal), axe(to cut off all bonds of attachment), one tusk(retain good throw away bad), small mouth(talk less), trunk(high efficiency and adaptability), blessings(blesses and protects on spiritual path of supreme), madaka(rewards of sadhana), large stomach(peacefully digest all good and bad in life), prasada(the whole world is at your feet and for your asking) and mouse(desire, unless under control can cause havoc, your ride the desire and keep it under control and don't allow it to take you for a ride). Lord Vinayagar had one younger brother who named as Karthikeyan. He also has many names like his brother. He was also called as Murugan, Subramaniyam and Shanmugan.
