Madhu Balakrishnan was born on the 24th of June in the year 1974 in the state of Kerala at Tripunithura in the district of Cochin in India. Madhu Balakrishnan started his career as a caliber artist in the A.I.R and also in the Doordarshan channel. He has also has performed with foremost play back singers like K J Yesudas, Jayachandran, M G Sree Kumar, K S Chitra, Sujatha Mohan, Madhuri and P.Susheela. He is a life affiliate of the Malayalam Cine Technicians Assosiation (MACTA). This song was sung as a duet by Madhu along with Asha Bhonsle, “Kuttanada Kaayalile" for Kazhcha in a Malayalam movie, “Kanaa Kandein adi" for the film Paarthiban Kanavu starring Sri Kanth and Sneha in the lead role. His hit song “Pitchai Pathiram" was written and set to the music by the legendary musician Illaiyaraaja for the movie Naan Kadavul. This song became a tremendous hit and fetched him the Mirchi music award in the year 2010.
Madhu has also lent his voice for the much acclaimed Illaiyaraaja's album a devotional back up known as the “thiruvaasagam". Recently he has sung the title song for a Malayalam serial “Swamy Ayyapan" which has become a great hit in almost all Hindu households that has been featured in the Television channel on a regular bias. The song “Sabarimala Vazhum Ayyapan" is one of his best devotional songs on Lord Ayyappa released recently. In 2010 Madhu, preceded a team of proletarian singers and won the foundational SUN TV music competition, “Sangeetha Maha Yutham" against a five other teams, each ruddered by a professional singer.
In the year October 2010, Madhu along with his friends, released the S36 band and it contained the self – titled debut album of tentative songs.
