Badkhal Lake
Located in Badkhal village, this lake is a 32 km drive from Delhi. This lake is actually a man-made embankment made in the middle of mesmerizing scenic beauty of Aravalli hills. Badhkal is derived from a Persian word bedakhal which means free from interference which truly Badhkal lake was before becoming a tourist attraction. Every spring a flower show is held here and near to Badhkal lake is another lake by the name of Peacock lake.
Baba Farid's Tomb
Faridabad is believed to have been named after Baba Farid, a Sufi saint who is also credited to founding Faridabad. His tomb is especially famous among the local people.
Suraj Kund tourist spot arts and craft mela
Suraj Kund is an ideal tourist spot surrounded by rock cut steps. Its distance from South Delhi is just 8kms. Suraj Kund was built by Rajput king Surajpal Tomar, Suraj Kund who built it to worship the rising Sun. The remains of a Sun temple also lie near the kund. The complex of Suraj Kund has a beautiful garden and a fresh water pool which is said to have healing properties. Each year in the month of February, Suraj Kund holds the biggest arts and crafts mela of India where you get to see the cultural heritage of not only India but from neighbour countries like Pakistan, Afganistan, Sri Lanka etc. too. Showcased here are beautiful and intrinsically designed handloom and handicrafts. Many cultural programs happen here including folk dances, magic, acrobats and rural cuisines. You get to buy the handlooms directly from their makers.
Aravali Golf course
The first green golf course in Faridabad was designed in Aravalli by the famous architect Joseph Allan Stein in the year 1966. But since it suffered from lack of funds it was soon handed over to the Haryana tourism in 1988 and reintroduced as Aravali Golf Course. The tourism department redesigned the course by taking the services of Stephen Kay, the famous Golf architect from the U.S.A. Presently it is a 18 hole golf course where a game of 9-hole can be played. Other facilities in the golf course are a club house with restaurant, card room, billiards table, 6 luxurious rooms and committee room for gold lovers. There is facility for night stay in these rooms. This golf course is at a distance of 30kms from Delhi.
If somebody wants to stay here then some cottages are available which can be rented and for food catering services are available.
