Initially started by the hippies of Goa, this place has become one of the favourite spots for various Indian and foreign tourists.
The Anjuna flea market is held every Wednesday between coconut palms in the rocky beach of Anjuna. One can find new and second hand goods ranging from fabrics, ornaments, local Goanese, Kashmiri and Tibetan crafts and Goan trance music in this place. Mapusa Market, Goa
The Mapusa market or the Mapusa Friday market is a haven for local people and tourists who want to buy fresh food stuff. The Mapusa market provides fresh fishes, locally produced vegetables and fruits, exotic fruits like mango and jackfruit can also be found here. Local pickle, spices, ornaments, coir products, dried fish and prawns and 'chouricos'-Pork sausages can also be found here. The famous Goan country liquor is also available at a reasonable price.
