Manish Tewari was born in Ludhiana, Punjab, belongs to a family of political background were his father was a professor of Punjab University who has written so many books on Sikh Gurus in Punjabi language and he was also a freedom fighter who was killed by terrorists in 1984 and his grand father Sardar Tirath Singh was an advocate and Minister in the Congress Government in Punjab.
