Indira Gandhi National Tribal University in Amarkantak came into existence with the aim of bringing modern education for the tribal youth of the tribe- inhabited region. IGNTU, Amarkantak has recently issued advertisements in the leading newspapers regarding 2 major vacancies for the following positions:
1. Registrar
2. Finance Officer

The above said appointments would be either on deputation or it would be a direct appointment for a 5 year term. Also, the above appointments would be reconsidered for re-appointment provided they take retirement at the age of 62 yrs.

Vacancy details for the post of Registrar at IGNTU, Amarkantak


There is one position vacant for the Registrar at IGNTU Amarkantak. To apply for the post, the candidate is required to have either of the following mentioned qualifications:

1. Master degree with a minimum of 55%(50% in case of SC/ST) or an equivalent grade 'B' on a scale of seven pt.

2. The candidate is also required to have a work experience of 15 yrs as Assistant or Associate Professor in the AGP of Rs. 7000. Out of 15 yrs, at least 8 yr experience should be as assistant/associate professor in the AGP of Rs 9000. OR
Experience in research establishment or other higher education institution establishment. OR
Minimum 15 yrs of Administrative experience with an 8 yr compulsory experience as Dy.Registrar with a Grade pay of Rs. 7600.

The minimum 55 % marks in PG degree is exempted for those who are in university service

Vacancy details for the post of Finance Officer at IGNTU, Amarkantak


Another position is for the post of Finance Officer for which the candidate should posses :
1. Master degree in Business Administration – with specialisation in Finance or a master degree in Commerce. The minimum marks required is 55%(50% in case of SC/ST) or an equivalent grade'B' in seven scale pt.

2. The work experience required for this post is similar to that for the post of registrar as discussed above. The candidate can also apply for this post if he/she is a qualified CA or ICWA/SAS with atleast 15 yrs of experience in relevant areas.

Apart from this due weightage would be given to those who have work experience of budgeting and finance accounting in autonomous institutes/universities or have good working knowledge of rules of Central universities, R&D institutes etc.

Age Limit for the 2 positions: The maximum age limit is 55 yrs as on the date of submission of application form.

Salary structure for the post of Registrar and Finance Officer at IGNTU Amarkantak


The position falls in the Pay Band IV which includes a pay of Rs 37400 – Rs 67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10,000. Apart from this the salary would include other applicable allowances.
