The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER)Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, set up by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, inivites applications for admissions to the 2012 Dual BS-MS Program.

2012 IISER Bhopal Dual BS-MS Program features

Duration: 5 year

Degree: BS-MS dual degree with major in biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics.

Curriculum: The curriculum is such that it is not rigidly applicable to only textbooks but will incorporate recent scientific developments & research. Social sciences as well as communication skills are part of the curriculum.

Evaluation: The students are evaluated on a continuous basis and not limited to the final exam at the end of the year.

Scholarships: All BS-MS students will receive either KVPY or INSPIRE scholarship of Rs. 5000/-p.m.

Eligibility criteria for 2012 IISER Bhopal Dual BS-MS Program

1. You are eligible to apply for the program after 10+2 with additional criteria (one of the following):
(a) IIT-JEE Main Merit list
(b) KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana): Students qualified in SA / SX / SB /SP stream
(c)Direct admission: The State/Central Boards must be recognized by the MHRD. Please see the cut-off percentage to be used for the boards for Class X and Class XII at Advt.
Note: (i) For OBC (non-creamy) there is a 5% relaxation of the DST cut-off. (ii) The cut-off for SC/ST is 60% in Class X and Class XII for all boards. (iii) All state/central board students must also qualify in the IISER Science Aptitude Test (ISAT).

The fees are payable at the time of admission:
1. For General/OBC students: Rs. 14,800/-
2. For SC/ST students: Rs. 8,800/-
