There are many governments and private institutes in Madhya-Pradesh state providing the engineering education. The students who wish to build up their career in engineering field in Madhya –Pradesh, will have to go through an entrance test which is commonly known as MP PET . MP PET stands for Madhya-Pradesh Pre Engineering Test, conducted every year in between April to June month by Madhya-Pradesh Professional Examination Board also know as Vyapam. Because of the performance in MP PET, student will chooses college or institute of his/her interest.Eligibility Criteria for MP PET
a.Students or candidates who are applying for MP PET must be a Indian. Candidate must have been educated in an educational institution of Madhya-Pradesh at least for three consecutive years during the five years duration from the year of examination. Candidate should be a bonafide resident of Madhya-Pradesh.
b. Students must have passed their 12th standard with minimum of 50% marks (under 10+2 scheme) accredited by MP board of secondary education, Bhopal.
c. The students having Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM)as their main subjects are eligible for the entrance test.
d. The candidate must have followed the age limit which must be in among 17 yrs to 21 years. There is a relaxation of three years to SC/ST candidates.
e. The candidates who are presently appeared in class 12th may also give the entrance test, but after qualifying in the entrance test they must have to provide their mark sheet at the time of admission in college.Details of examination pattern for MP PET
The MP PET entrance test is totally based on three subjects which are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, commonly known as PCM. All subjects Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics have of equal marks of 300. There is a provision of negative marking for wrong answers , so the candidate must have to choose right answers to score higher marks in each subject.Important and useful tips for preparing MP PET
1. As per ; the syllabus of each subject the students must have to make some notes in summarize form. At the time of examination you must read these notes which content important formulas and tricks being related with each topic.
2. For Mathematics subject the candidates should have to write all formulas of each method or topic in a note-book, it will help them in revision time.
3. The candidate should have to use the simple and short cut methods, which will help them in time management and to save their time in the examination.
4. To score higher marks in MP PET, Time Management is very important, every candidates have to work on it more hardly.While solving any question the students should have to learn some tricks to solve the question in minimum time.
5.Hard work is the key of Success, so do more and more practices.Students are advised to cover all the topics of each subjects, do not left any topic.

7. Try to solve all test samples of each chapter of every subject. While solving the test papers the students must note the timing in a notebook so when they resolve the papers they can see the previous time required .This will help them to compare the current time and the previous time, which helps to manage the time.
