Pune is the Cultural capital of Maharashtra state. Pune has its own culture and environment. This is the best place for travelers. A lot of places around the Pune attract tourists. Now the city is much hi-tech and advanced due to impact of IT firms.
Let's introduce the pune city more with historical background. With starting of the city found by Rashtrakutas and ruled for several years. They named the city as Punya Vishaya after that name changed to Punaka wadi and Punak Desha. After that Pune was ruled by Yadav dynasty and then came the rulers as Muslims in Seventeenth century. The city is now famous with name of Punya Nagari and given the name Pune by the authorities to remove much conflict.
Now came the real marathwada as the great ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji, the founder of the Maratha Empire has made the city known to the world. Shivaji spent his childhood in the Pune city with his family and given great domination to furnish the city. Mentors of Shivaji made various historical places like Lal Mahal and Kasba Ganpati which is still famous for their pride and honour.
After the death of Shivaji, City again ruled by mughals and they named the city as Muhiyabaad. After mughals Peshwas come in the light and played a great rle in development of the city. They constructed various forts and one of the known fort is called Shanivarwada. The famous Peth area are also set by Peshwas which made this city the palace of Peshwa Empire and ruled for a long time and spread their Maratha kingdom very vast. But to the end British came and They ruled the city with their communication with peshwas and also played a very vital role to establish the city. Deccan College is one of the great domination British made to the city. Various freedom fighters came from this city and made their efforts in the independence of the country. Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak is one of them which has given a great contribution in the development of city and played a vital role in independence.
There was a time when the city was known as the city of Bicycles and we had a great contribution of bi cycles in the city. Pune is also called as Queen of Deccan due to its historical, cultural and political efforts in the Deccan area. Pune is also the learning hub of India as there are lots of colleges and known universities which play a vital role. Due to industrialization of the city and modernization city become a lovely and peaceful city.
The City has really cool environment and plays a vital role in development of the country.
