Without science life is not possible. Likewise without chemistry, researches are not possible in this modern world. Chemistry, a branch of science mainly deals with the structure of atoms and molecules. In order to create an interest about chemistry in young minds, the department of chemistry university of Pune (UOP) is organizing the 23rd CHEMIAD Competition for F. Y .B.Sc. students who opt chemistry as a subject. The 23rd CHEMIAD 2012 Competition date and time is 22nd January 2012 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Also note that the last date for application CHEMIAD 2012 competition is 5th January 2012. Candidates who are interested in participating for the 23rd CHEMIAD 2012 Competition should submit their names along with a fee of Rs 60/- through the head of chemistry department of their respective colleges. The candidates should remember that there won't be any travel allowance for attending the fest.The CHEMIAD 2012 Competition exam consists of 100 objective type questions with 1 mark each. The students will be provided an OMR response sheet and they must record their answers in the sheet using pencil only. But for each wrong answer 1/4th mark will be deducted. It should be noted that the final score for CHEMIAD 2012 Competition exam will be calculated by taking in consideration the wrong responses also. For the 23rd CHEMIAD 2012 Competition, if a college enrolls more than 40 students then it will be declared as an exam centre. But if there is less number of student participants, another exam centre will be assigned for this competition.
