He went to Aden in 1949 for job purpose.
First Job: As dispatch clerk for A. Besse & Co.,Aden
He returned to India in 1958.
First business venture-'Reliance Commercial Corporation.'
Business type: a spice trading company
He changed his Business to Textile.He also changed his company's name from Reliance Commercial Corporation to Reliance Textile Industries Limited.
He set up his Reliance Textile mill in Naroda, Gujarat in 1966.
One technical team of the World Bank visited naroda Mill and said it as one of the best composite textile mills in India and certified it as 'excellent even by developed country standards' In 1975.
In 1977,the Reliance Textiles IPO comes to market and its successful.
After it,in 80s Dhirubhai become a good name in Indian Market.
In 1991, he set up Reliance unit at Hazira,for manufacture of petrochemicals.
After that he planned to form Refinery of his Dream at Jamnagar,Gujarat and when this dream come true it would become history.

And till date he is trying to expand it as wide as possible.
