Devri Temple
Devri Temple is a beautiful temple situated in the Ranchi-Tata road at a distance of about 60km from Ranchi.
It is a very old temple situated near tamad(a village)which contains the statue of a goddess locally known as "SOLAHBHUJI DEVI".There is also a statue of God "SHIV" above the statue of the goddess.It is considered that holy souls reside over here.It is also said that whenever people tried to change the pattern in which the temple has been built, they had to suffer serious consequences. when I visited this temple, I found out that it was a very small temple,but it was not so. The temple covers an area of about 2 acre and the statues of the God and the Goddess are also very large.The holy environment of the temple filled my heart with religious feelings and devotion towards God.
