By road:
Tirupati town is located at a distance of 22km away from Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. So if you are travelling by road, first you have to reach the Tirupati town, where you can see two different hilly roads towards the temple. It should be noted that the first road is meant for carrying the passenger's cars while the second road is meant for walking purpose only. There are frequent bus services from Tirupati town to this temple. Between Tirupati and Tirumala, there are 4 bus stations namely Balaji link bus station, Sri Venkateswara bus station, Sri Padmavathi bus station and Sapthagiri link bus station respectively.
By rail:
Tirupati railway station is the nearest railway station to Tirumala Venkateswara Temple and is located at a distance of 27km from this temple. It should be noted that this Tirupati railway station is well connected to other major stations like Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Indore, Dehradun, Jaipur and Jabalpur. Another fact is that trains can be boarded at Renigunta and Gutur, on the way to Tirupati railway station. Lots of bus services are available between Tirupati, Renigunta and Gutur.
