Upasana Kamineni - Profile and Biography

Upasana Kamineni is the granddaughter of Dr. Pratap C Reddy who is the Co-founder and Chairman of Apollo Hospitals. Born to Mr. Anil Kamineni and Shobana as their eldest daughter, Upasana has stepped into business focusing more of the Healthcare unit of the Apollo group of hospitals. She is currently serving as the Vice Preseident of the Apollo Charity and also the editor of B positive, a healthy life style magazine which focus on health, wellness, nutrition and fitness. Upasana is proud to head the charity projects initiated by Apollo Hospitals group, the third largest private hospital network in the world. 22 year old Upasana is devoting much of her time to indulge in social activities which includes health, wellness, blue cross activities and child care. She is active in projects like Saving A Child's Heart Initiative (SACHi) and Society to Aid the Hearing Impaired (SAHI).



Upasana gives special importance to allot her time for the kids who are in treatment in Apollo ailing from several problems. Upasana is much passionate towards animals. She does have an animal farm, where few animals which were rescued from being slaughtered are given shelter and care. Here interest to stick on to activities educating the young generation more on the importance of being healthy, Upasana serves as the editor of B Postive a national wide read health magazine which focus on fitness, wellness nutrition and health.

Upasana Kamineni holds a degree in global business management from Regents College at United Kingdom which boosts her medical and business interests. She is also associated as the executive editor of Apollo Life a quarterly magazine which gives insight on medical studies. Branded under B Positive, more than 140 wellness products are being circulated across the country. Upasana is engaged to telugu actor Ram Charan Teja, son of Chiranjeevi. The marriage between Ram Charan and Upasana is set to be held on 14th June 2012. It is known that the venue of marriage is set and to be held at a private farm house owned by Upasana. As it is a private affair, special invites from both families will only get a chance to view the grand marriage. A long line up of VIPs including Congress Supremo Sonial Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi are expected to attend the mega wedding function.

Popular film stars and business magnates are expected to attend the marriage while there are reports that Amitab Bachan and his family will also be there as special invites. The preparations are going on full swing and is known that a centralized air conditioned venue decorated with imports from UK and China will be something special to watch. Art director Anad Sai how is charge of designing the wedding venue has taken much care in giving a charm look to occasion. Chiranjeevi would be hosting a grand wedding reception to the fans from around the state on 15th June.
