This place is found by Raja Ahibarana Tomar and situated on the bank of river Hindan with junction to Krishna river . In Epic Mahabharta this place was known as Varnavata and modified later to Barnawa. This village was also the Tehsil in the ruling of Begum Samru. After her death this village is made subsidiary to Baraut and then Sardhana constituency.Attractions of Barnawa
Barnawa has significant role in the Mahabharta. The main attraction of the village is the Lakhshagraha mount where Kauravas tried to burn Pandvas also known as Lakha Mandap to the local people. This is the place where one can even see the canal made by Pandavs to protect themselves from Kauravas. One can enjoy the tracks to ride on the small mount. Way To Reach Barnawa
Barnawa is situated on Meerut to Baraut Road. This place just 36 KM from the Meerut and 28 KM from Baraut constituency. Visitors are used to travel with Bus service or use their private vehicles.
