Rajaji National Park
Rajaji National Park in Uttarkhand was established in 1966 & spread in vast area in shivalik mountain range of Himalaya in Uttrakhand State. This park is anmed after, the first Governor general of India & well known freedom fighter Lt. Shri C.Gopalachari awarded by Bharat ratna in 1954 who was also known as 'Rajaji'. Two other sanctuaries Motichur & Chilla are merged into Rajaji national Park in 1983. Rajiji National Park contains a collection of over 300 various species of birds & animals.
Best time for Visit Rajaji National Park
The best time for visit is October to June. In the rainy season park does close. Visitors can stay into forest rest houses of Park. Jeep is also available for the travel of parks.
