About the city
You might have heard the name of this city many times because Varanasi is a popular tourism attraction in the Uttar Pradesh state. The city covers the area of about 73.89 sq. km. with the population of 3147927 (as per 2001 census). It is situated at 80.71 metres above the sea level.
