Ignite scholarships for pursuing BSc and MSc course for Rajasthan schools

In this article I have provided information on how you can apply for the Ignite scholarship provided for studies in BSc and MSc integrated studies by the Rajasthan education board.

Scholarships available for Higher education in Rajasthan

Indian governments issues various scholarships for students who are meritorious yet are unable to pursue higher education for the lack of economical means. Also to evoke interest in various disciplines like science and technology, the government of India has issued scholarhips wherein a fixed amount of money is paid to aid in studies- to buy books and other equipments, pay the fees and other living cost. The scholarships are either paid on a monthly basis or in yearly basis. Also generally the scholarships are paid till the duration of the course.

Ignite scholarship for higher education

Te department of Scince and Technology has innovated a programme called Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE)to attract talented students towards Science and other technology based courses. Under the Inspire programme, the govenrment has launched the Ignite scholarship.

Ignite scholarships are provided by the Government of India to increase interest in students towards science stream in higher education. A scholarship of Rs 80000 is given per month towards pursuing integrated course in BSc and MSc course in any place in India. The students who have secured good percentage in the senior school certificate exams and are included in the top 1% of the school board are eligible for this scholarship.

Economically weak students who qualify for the scholarship will be given advance release.

The scholarship will be provided for a period of 5 years.

Note

The scholarship is also applicable for BSc and MSC students.

Candidates who have qualified Joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test for fellowship/ GATE can apply for PhD programmes provided they are in the top 1% in the respective college.

The scholarship is applicable to Indian nationals only

The candidates will be selected for the scholarhip based on merit only and no other examination will be conducted for selection for the Ignite programme.
