City palace is the most famous tourist attraction of Udaipur. It was built by Maharaja Udai Mirza singh in 1559 as the new capital of Sisodia Rajput dynasty. City palace complex houses total 11 palaces. Most of the palaces are built influenced by Rajasthani and Mughal culture. City palace is built on the banks of Pichola lake and provides an aerial view of the city. The palace houses domes, courtyards, corridors, pavilions, and hanging gardens. One can see the field where elephants used to fight and the marbles arches where kings were weighted with gold to distribute in the public. Pichola Lake is the lake around which whole Udaipur is situated. This lake was constructed by Maharaja Udai singh in 1362 to meet the facility of irrigation and drinking water. Lake Palace is situated on the Jag Niwas Island of Pichola Lake. This beautiful palace was built by Maharaja Jagat Singh in year 1743 as a place for entertainment in summer for royal families. Today this Palace is a 5 star hotel. It is a beautiful place to visit with its pillared terraces, gardens and fountains. The Palace is made up of white marbles whereas the rooms are decorated with pink stones and mirrors. Sajjangarh palace is also known as Monsoon Palace. It is situated at a height of 944 meters above sea level and provides a panoramic view of the beautiful city. Maharana Pratap memorial is located on the top of Moti Magri which is also known as Pearl hill. It is situated on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake. On the top of the hill there is a Bronze statue of Maharana Pratap and his noble horse Chetak who fought for him till the last breath. One can enjoy the sound and light show which is organized every evening. There is also a Japanese rock garden on the hill. Timing and Entry Fees

Ahar is located around two kilometers away from the city. It's a place where around 200 cenotaphs are there. From these cenotaphs there are nineteen cenotaphs of the Maharaja of Mewar. One can have a look at these beautiful cenotaphs which are designed in royal way and are a mixture of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Crystal gallery is situated in the Fateh Prakash Palace. It is a beautiful gallery of crystal ornaments which was ordered by Maharaja Sajjan Singh in the year 1877 from England from the F&C Oslar company.
The gallery houses crockery, mirrored table tops, sofa sets, carpets with jeweled carving, antique chairs, perfumes, honey bottles, candle stands and many more. One can also have a look at Dilkhush Mahal(Palace of Joy) which houses antique paintings and mosaic of peacocks or one can have a look at Moti Mahal(Pearl Palace) which houses beautiful mirror work.
Timings: From 10 AM to 1 PM and 3 PM to 8 PM9. Bagore ki Haveli
Bagore ki haveli is located near Pichola Lake and was constructed by Amir Chand who was Chief Minister of Mewar Royal Court. This place is beautiful carved and decorated with glasswork which shows the architectural style of 18th century. It was actually a two storied building but later Maharana Shakti Singh added three more stories to the building in 1878. Today this building is under West Zone Culture Centre and has been converted into a museum. The museum houses many mural paintings, dice games, hand fans, jewelry boxes etc from the ancient period. There are also beautiful peacocks carved out of mirror work. One can also enjoy a show called Dharohar which is held every day at 7 PM.Timing and Fees

Saheliyo ki Bari means the Garden of the maids of queen. It was constructed by Maharana Sangram Singh in 18th century. It is said that the king himself designed the garden and gifted to his queen who had 48 maids. It is situated on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake and is popular for its beautiful fountains, marble work and lush green gardens.
