Khatta Meetha is the story of a struggling road contractor Sachin Tichkule who dreams big things about his career. But the fact is he always fails in his work due to lack of money. The situation get worse when the new municipal commissioner arrives the city. The new municipal commissioner was his ex-girlfriend and she hates him. The film also points towards the corruption and bribery in our country. Akshay Kumar is in the role of Sachin Tichkule and Trisha Krishnan is in the role of municipal commissioner in Khatta Meetha.
