True Wisdom
Introspection
A saintly man once decided to travel to all the developed nations in the world. He wanted to ascertain the reason was unhappy despite all his claims to be successful, and to the progress he had made in science, nuclear and information technology.
During his visits he met the common people and the rulers. He listened to each of them patiently. Eventually, through inspiration, he learnt that all the people knew more about others than they knew about themselves. None of them had paused to take a good look into their own lives and find out the true purpose of living.
Reflection
We forget what we were taught as children: "God made us to know him, to love him, to serve him in this world and be happy with him forever in the next."
