Taraporewala Aquarium is one of the famous Aquariums in Mumbai. It is situated at the famous Marine Drive road. This aquarium was built during 1951. 
Every year, nearly thousands of people visit Taraporewala Aquarium to see the beauty of aquatic life. This aquarium contains almost every kind of fishes. Mr. Taraporewala was the person who started this aquarium in Mumbaim, so this aquarium was named Taraporewala after his death. Sharks and beautiful turtles are some common species of aquatic organisms which are found in this aquarium. The Entry fees to Taraporewala Aquarium are modest so one can easily visit this aquarium. Also, the management of Taraporewala Aquarium is planning to turn this aquarium into a underwater spot to enhance the beauty of marine life.
At one side of Aquarium there are nearly hundred types of fishes. This also includes coral fishes of seven types which are brought from Lakshadweep Island. The main marine animals which attract the visitor are the sharks, turtles and moray eels. On the other side there are preserved remaining of the past fishes and marine animals. These fishes are mainly kept in glass bottles so that no one can touch it. The photography is highly prohibited in Taraporewala Aquarium.
