Bombay Natural History Society was established in 1883 in the city of Mumbai. It is one of the largest non-governmental organizations in India. The headquarters of BNHS is in the Hornbill House at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Road of Mumbai. It also studies on wildlife and conservation in India.
Not only this, Bombay Natural History Society also publishes magazines for four months i.e. 'The Journal of the Bombay Natural History Society' and 'Hornbill'. Also, many specimens are donated to the society.
