Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai
This temple is also called Shree Siddhivinayak Ganpati Mandir. It is a Hindu temple that is dedicated to Lord Ganesha in SidhiVinayak. It is one of the richest temple in Mumbai. It was built by Mr.Vithu and Mrs. Deubai Patil on 19th of November, 1801. The built up area of this temple was 3.60mtr. x 3.60mtr. square.This temple is having a small hall called mandap along with the Shrine for Siddi Vinayank i.e. Lord Ganesha in SiddhiVinayak temple that grant wish to the devotees. The temple is full of wooden doors and windows. It also consists of a Hanuman temple which is separated by a periphery of the temple.
Many Bollywood stars keeps visiting this famous temple for getting the blessing of Lord Ganesha. Recently, superstat Amitabh Bachchan along with his son Abhishek Bachchan and Daughter-in-law Aishwariya Rai Bachchan came here to receive the blessing of Ganesha. Also, when Sanjay Dutt was caught with an AK-47 rifle in his house then he too came here to worship Lord Ganesha. And thus he got acquittal in TADA court. *If you are coming by train, then first you have to get down in Dadar Station. From there it takes 10-15 minutes of walk to reach SiddiVinayak Temple.
