Dance India Dance Season 1
The first season o Dance India Dance season 1 started on January 30, 2009. This show aired on channel Zee TV on every Friday and Saturday.
The show was broadcasted by UTV Sofware communications. The Finale of Lux Dance India Dance held on May 30, 2009 which declared Salman Kahn also known as Mohammed Y.K. Ghouse as the winner. After the huge success of this in India as well as in abroad, the production house decided to launch the second season of India Dance India Dance on December 18, 2009. The auditions of Lux Dance India Dance season 1 took place in Ahmedabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.
Lux Dance India Dance became very popular as this was the first Dance show in India to be started in TV screens. After releasing out of Dance India Dance, many other channels also started organizing Dance shows such as Chak Dhoom Dhoom in COLORS Channel. Thousands of people participated in the auditions of Lux Dance India Dance, but very few were selected in top 100 contestants. The most result was seen from the Mumbai Auditions of Lux Dance India Dance. Also, Viewers often watch the show to learn the new steps taught by the choreographers in the show. • The first Superstar who came on the show was Salman Khan who appeared in Lux Dance India Dance on 20 February, 2009.
• Then came Kamlesh Patel who appreciated the dance of the contestants. He is a disabled person who was a contestant of Lux Dance India Dance Auditions. But he was not selected. Thus, Mithun called him in the show as a special guest.
• The third judge on Lux Dance India Dance was the popular Dancer Prabhu Deva who too liked the dance of the participants.
• Neil Nitin Mukash also appeared in Lux Dance India Dance on March 28, 2009.

The four participants who got into the finale of Lux Dance India Dance season 1 round were Mohammad Y.K Ghouse or Salman Khan from Remo Ke Rangeelay, Jai Kumar Nair from Terence ki Toli, Alishi Singh from Terence ki Toli and Siddesh Pai from Geeta ki Gang.
