Biography of Aamir Khan
Aamir Khan is a very famous personality of Bollywood. His full name is Aamir Hussain Khan who was born in a Muslim family on 14th of March 1965. He is not only an actor but also a director and producer of many films. He has contributed many films in Hindi cinema. He was born in a Bandra's Holy Family Hospital in Maharashtra. His family was engaged in Indian Motion picture industry for many years. His father's name is Tahir Hussain.
Aamir Khan has won many Filmfare Awards for his fantastic work in Indian cinema. He has contributed many films to Bollywood. In the year 2001, he started his own Film prodution Company which was named as Aamir Khan Productions. This company has brought several hits in Bollywood box-office. The wife of Aamir Khan is Kiran Rao who has also directed some of the films of Aamir Khan Productions. Aamir Khan has two children- one daughter and one son. His son's name is Junaid and daughter is Ira. Reena was Aamir's first wife but they took divorse in 2002 and ended their 15 years of marraige. The next women who came into the life of Aamir was Kiran Rao. Aamir married to Kiran Rao on 28th of December 2005. Bollywood Career of Aamir Khan
Khan has began film career when he was child. At that age he worked in a film made by Nasir Hussain, named Yaadon Ki Baraat in 1973 and Madhosh in the year 1974. After eleven years of gap, he was seen in his adult acting career in a role that wa not much given importance in Ketan Mehta's film Holi released in 1984.
Aamir has done his first leading in the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1988, a film directed by Mansoor Khan. This film was a success in the box-office. He got his first award for the film Raakh, for which he got Special Jury Award. Then, he appear in many other films in the 1980s and 1990s. Most of the films which he did in these years were successful in the box-office. Other success films of Aamir Khan include Andaz Apna Apna in which he worked along with Salman Khan.

In 1996, he worked in blockbuster film Raja Hindustani which was directed by Dharmesh Darshan. The opposite actress who worked with him in this film was Karisma Kapoor. This film gave him a Filmfare Best Actor Award and also this film was the biggest hit of the year. Most of the films after this were successful and most of them were hit. In 1997, worked with Ajay Devgan,Juhi Chawla and Kajol in the film Ishq, which has done great in the box office. In 1998, Khan did another average successful film Ghulam, for this film he also did playback singing. He also worked in John Matthan's film Sarfarosh released in 1999. This was Aamir's first release of the year. The film was appreciated by most of the audients and also by critics. In 2000, his first film was Mela, in this worked with Faisal Khan, this was a box-office and also a critical super duper hit.
In 2000, he was seen in Lagaan. The film was a major success in the box-office. This film also received several awards and nominations. Aamir also received his second Filmfare Best Actor Award. This film was one of the popular films of western countries. Later that year he did Dil Chahta Hai , in which he worked with Akshaye Khanna and Saif Ali Khan, with Preity Zinta was the lover in the film. This fil was directed by Farhan Akhtar. The film did well in abroad and also domestically.
Aamir took a break of four years and then was seen in 2005 in Ketan Mehta's film Mangal Pandey: The Rising. In this, he was seen playind a role of sepoy and martyr who helped in the First War of Indian Independence.
Aamir's first film in the year 2006 was Rang De Basanti. He earned a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance and also nomination for Best Actor. This film became the highest grossing film of the year. It also got a nomination for Best Foreign Film at the BAFTA Awards held in England. His next role in movie Fanaa released in 2006 was also appreciated.
Taare Zameen Par was his next release which was a damn hit. The film was produced by Aamir Khan Productions. The story is about a dyslexic child who was in a great trouble in his schooldays, there comes the entry of Aamir Khan playing a supporting role as a teacher who helps the child. The film was directed by him and Aamir also received many awards for this film.
In 2008, Aamir worked in Ghajini. In this film, he was seen with six pack abs and his body looks were shocking and appreciated by all. He worked out in Gym for six months to get a good looks in this film. This film was a hit in Box-office and also became one of the highest grossing Bollywood movies of 2008. For his great performance in Ghajini, Aamir received several nominations for Best Actor and also a Filmfare Best Actor nomination.
In 2009, Aamir came up with Super hit film 3 Idiots in which he played the role of Ranchodas Chanchad. This film and won many Filmfare awards. This film was inspired by five point someone. The movie was Lagaan which was a super duper hit in the box-office. This film was also selected as the Best Foreign Language Film category in the seventy-forth Acedemy Awards. In the year 2007, his company produced Taare Zameen Par which was a success in the box-office. This film also received Filmfare Best Movie Award in 2008 and many Star Screen Awards. His work in this movie brought him Best Movie and Best Director Award by Filmfare.
