Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar is a very popular for his fantastic acting in Indian cinema. He was born on 28th of November 1986. His mother is former actress Smita Patil and father is Raj Babbar who was an actor as well as politician. Her mother dies because of post partum complications just after the birth of Prateik. Thus, Patheik lost her mother in the early stage of his life.
He has started his career of Bollywood in 2008 with the film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. This film gave him more popularity than earlier due to his mom as actress. In 2011, he came with with Dhobi Ghat which didn't worked well but Babbar received appreciation from critics and audients. Later, he worked in the film Dum Maro Dum. In the earlier days, Prateik was involved in assisting advertisement filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar for a year. During this time, he was seen in some of the major advertisements of television. Many companies hired Prateik for their advertisement shows. This includes some of the ads of KitKat chocolate and some of the cosmetics ads. He was first offered to sign the film Saawariya but he rejected that film, but later all the films in which he worked were fantastic.
Then he started his Bollywood career with the company of Aamir Khan Production. His first film in which he worked was Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. In this film he was seen in working with Imran Khan and Genelia D'Souza. He played the role of Genelia's brother in this film. For his fantastic acting in the film, he won several awards and nominations in different award functions. The film was one of the hits of the year and was a commercial success. His next film in which he appeared was Kiran Roa's Dhobi Ghaat. In this film he worled with Bollywood actor Aamir Khan.This film gave him appreciation from critics and as well as from audients. He later worked in the film Dam Maro Dum along with Abhishek Bachchan and Rana Daggubati.
Film career of Prateik Babbar is going to continue with his latest films in 2011. Presently, he is filming two Bollywood films and a Tamil/Telugu movie.
