The 2012 Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon is the richest marathon in the whole of Asia. This year, the ninth edition, will see an even higher increase in cash awards across all the race categories – US$15,000 more than last year. Wow! All runners of the Marathon and Half Marathon race category will be given a Finisher's Medal after their run. All participants of the Wheelchair Event (excluding attendants) will also receive a medal after their event.

(a) Marathon: Medals will be given to the following:
(i) Top 3 overall men & women finishers
(ii) Top 3 Indian men & women finishers
(iii) Top 3 marathon open men & women finishers
(iv) Top 3 marathon veteran men & women finishers
(v) Top 2 marathon senior veteran men & women finishers
(vi) Top 2 marathon super veteran men & women finishers
(b) Half Marathon: Medals will be given to the following:
(i) Top 3 overall men & women finishers

1. Participation Certificates: Certificates of participation will be given to all Marathon and Half Marathon runners and the certificates will include the individual race day timings and rankings. Certificates of participation will also be given to those who participate in wheelchair events.
Note: The participation certificates will be posted to the address given in the application form after the day of the race.
2. Merit Certificates: All those who win prize money in the Marathon and Half Marathon categories will receive a Merit Certificate which will certify their prize money winning positions. These certificates will be posted after the day of the race.
