Smart Card Based DL-RC BOOT Project starts in 8 major district of Assam - Get Driving License process procedure

Smart Card based Driving Licence and Registration Card Project launched in 8 (eight) major districts including, DTO Kamrup, Nalbari, Nagoan, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Tinsukia, Uttar- Lakhimpur & Silchar. And remaining districts will able to get this facility very shortly. This project is under Govt. of Assam and run by Assam Electronics Development Corp. Ltd. (AEDC Ltd), Now people can able to get their Driving Licence & Registration Card in a format of Plastic Card where there is a Chip. With the hard effort of Govt. of Assam this DL-RC BOOT Project is in the path way of success.

Good that at last Smart Card based registration is getting implemented in Assam. Hope, government would take necessary steps for a smooth transition from existing manual registration process.
