Nambor –Doigrung Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Golaghat and is near to Kaziranga National Park. The sanctuary is famous for hot water springs. One can see many species of native and migratory birds in the sanctuary. This article will give you a detail information about the sanctuary.

Nambor – Doigrung Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Golaghat district of Upper assam in North east India.The sanctuary is famous for Hot water springs which are scattered around the park. It covers an area of 97.15 sq. kms. The scenic beauty of the place is another major attraction for the tourists.

The sanctuary is the home to many rare species of mammals like Elephant, Hoolock Gibbon, Stumped Tailed Macaque, Pig Tailed Macaque, Slow Loris, Assamese Macaque, Rhesus Macaque,Tiger, Leopard, Fishing Cat, Barking Deer, Sambar, Wild Pigs, Gaur etc.Among the birds one can see White Winged Wood Duck, Great Pied Hornbill, Wreathed Hornbill, Adjutant Stork etc. The commonly found reptiles are Tortoise, Monitor Lizard, Python etc.

It is 68 kms away from the Rowriah (Jorhat) Airport and is the nearest airport to reach the sanctuary. Guwahati LGBI Airport is about 318 kms away. Kohora (Kaziranga N.P) is 70 kms away from the sanctuary. The place is accessible from all the major towns of the state.
