About the temple
Tirupati Balaji temple is located at Lokhra in Guwahati city. It is just 10 kilometers away from main city centre. This recently built temple is an example of modern architecture. The temple was made in a south Indian actictectural style and is similar to Tirupati Balaji temple of South India. The temple is dedicated to lord Balaji. The idols of Lord Ganesh and Goddess Durga can also be seen here.The temple complex covers an area of two acres of land. The main temple is of Lord Balaji where there is an idol of Balaji carved out of a single stone weighing 4 tonnes. In the entrance of the temple there is an idol 
of Lord Ganesha. There are two other temples adjacent to the main temple, one is of Goddess Padmavati and the other is of Lord Garuda which is the Vahana of Lord Balaji. The Temple has a Rajagopuram, a Maha mandapam, an ardha mandapam, and the sanctum. All the gopurams are constructed in South Indian architectural style. The daily morning and evening prayer are done by the pujaries and laddus are offered as Prasad to the Lord. The whole temple complex is made with pure white stones which looks very unique and beautiful. There is a park adjacent to the temple where one can see lots of flowers that adds the beauty of the place. Every day hundreds of devotees come to this place to pray Lord Balaji and to see the beauty of the temple.

The nearest airport to reach the temple is Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport which is 30 kilometers away from the temple. The nearest railway station is Guwahati Railway station which is 20 kilometers away. Regular bus service is available from all parts of the state. Besides these there is an state bus terminal near the temple
