After BJP now it was time for Congress to address Himachal people via their major Politian's. So UPA member Sonia Gandhi addressed Himachal people at Shimla district on the famous and historic Ridge ground. He directly pointed out the BJP and says that the state government had done no development in the Himachal Pradesh.

• She criticized BJP by claiming that BJP is adopting double standard and not taking the action against its own leader who is indulged in corruption.
• She also said that congress is the only party which has taken the action against the corrupted leader.
• She said that it's Congress who brought the Right to information act which has proved right tool against corruption.
• She also said that the opposition is not against the corruption but they are criticizing us which is not a positive way of politics.
• Gandhi also utilized the occasion to propagate the cause in FDI that will help the Horticultural products especially in apples; it would also helpful for the Himachal farmer. She said that their opponents are spreading harsh rumors about FDI which is totally wrong and is not in favor of common man.
• She also said that CM was free to implement FDI but he didn't allowed FDI in retail saying that BJP was making it an unnecessary issue.
• She said that inflation is the major problem that our country is facing and center government is taking all the necessary steps to stop it but it is also the duty of state government to down the rise price.
• She also said that Congress government has given subsidy on the LPG cylinder raising the number to 9 cylinders but in the Himachal BJP has given subsidized up to 6 cylinders only.
• She also said that central government has given so many projects for the development of the hilly state but BJP did nothing with them. She promised that Congress will implement all pending projects once you (Himachal people) will give them chance to win upcoming polls.
• She also said that Centre government has given so many funds under the MNERGA but it has not been utilized properly.
