Lalbari Mela in Bilaspur
Lalbari festival is one of the famous festivals of the Bilaspur district. This festival was celebrated in the month of the March in the Bilaspur's ground which is situated in the main city of the Bilaspur. This Mela is basically famous for the Ox. People buy the ox in this Mela. Apart from it there are so many shops are present in this Mela. People buy different things for the house and enjoy the Mela. On the last day of the Mela Chief Guest of the Mela inaugurate the wrestling competition and in the evening prize are given to the winner by the Chief Guest.
After few days this festival was begins in another part of the district which is known as Ghumarwin. It is about 20 km from the Bilaspur. Here all the things are same as in the Bilaspur.

This festival is one of the famous festivals of the Mandi district. This festival came after few days Ghumarwin festival in the April month. This festival first times was celebrated about 30 years ago. After that this festival came every year in the month of April and being celebrated by the peoples of this area. This festival is basically for the Ox; people buy the ox and take to the home. In this Mela there are so many peoples came across the state as well across the country. People do various types of the shopping. There are so many sweets shops are available in the market. It continues for the 4 to 5 days.
How to reach these places
You can reach Bilaspue by bus as well in train; this place is about 100 km from Shimla.
While Mandi is about 150 km from Shimla and you can reach this place by bus as well as taxi.
