We are talking about the one of the research centre of the Mushroom which is situated in the Solan district in Chamba ghat. Mushroom is the one of best crop of the Himachal Pradesh which is grown in some part of the state. This crop is more grown in the Solan district. Here in this district its research centre is situated where so many researches are made regarding this crop. In the research they decide what season is the best season for the Mushroom and how much water is needed for this crop. Scientist first do some research after that they organise a seminar in which so many teacher participate after they organised other educational tour. After that they visit in the university or college of the agricultural and tell the students regarding this crop.
Apart from this centre all the agricultural university of the Himachal Pradesh grows this crop and they sell to the people. In Himachal Pradesh there are two universities which grow this crop one is situated in the Nauni known as UHF, Nauni and other is situated in the Palampur and as University of Agricultural, Palampur.
This research centre was made in the 19th century by the government of the state. This is the first Mushroom research centre in the district as well across the state. The infrastructure of this research centre is so good. There are several department are made. The labs are well designed and having all the modern facility is provided.
How to reach this place
This research centre is situated in the Solan district. It is about 3 km from the Solan's old bus stand on the Shimla road and name of the place where this research centre is situated is known as Chamba ghat. This centre is situated on the right side of the road, just below the road.
You can easily reach this place by taking the bus or three wheeler from the old bus stand or from the bye pass.
You can also reach this place by train by Shimla Kala famous express.
