The Minjar fair firstly started in the 18th century by the local king of the Chamba. After that this fair is celebrated every tear in the month of July and it will continues for the 14 days. This fair is basically shows the love between the brother and sister. On the beginning of this fir sister put a long thread on the shirt of his brother and pray for his long life and on the last day of the fair this thread is blown in the Ravi River.
Main attraction of the fair
The main attraction of this fair is that you can see the culture of the Chamba district. On the last day of the fair, in the evening there is a big Yatra is taken from the local temples of the Chamba across the ground to the Ravi River.
You can also see the cultural and events which are performed by the local artist and also by the singer who came in the night.
