This university is affiliated by the UGC in 2011. There are so many private and government colleges come under this university which are approved by the AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) and by NCTE (National Council of Technical Council). So if anyone want to take admission in these colleges which are affiliated by the HPTU than firstly he/she have to give the NEET (National Engineering Entrance test) which is conducted by the CBSE, Delhi. After that they have to fill the form for form for the counselling which is held in the Hamirpur. This prospectus is available in all the ITI's of the district. And selection is based on the merit in the NEET test. Some of the seats are reserved for the special quotas like SC (Schedule caste), ST (Schedule Tribe) and sports quota. So if any students have any kind of quota than attach the copy of it with the form.
