History of the temple
Jakhoo temple of the Lord Hanuman is one oldest and religious temple of the Shimla district. This temple was built in the mid time of the 19th century. This temple is basically famous for the monkey. Here so many monkeys are present. So when you visit this place than don't keep the eatable and other things in your hand otherwise the monkey will try taking these things. Here in this temple there is statue of the Lord Hanuman which is about 8 feet long. This statue was built in the last year. This statue is too much long that even it can see from the Ridge ground.
It is believed that during the ancient times Hanuman Visits this place. This temple is situated on the top of the hill. This temple is surrounded by the trees. Basically this temple is famous for the statue of the Lord hanuman. This is the only statue of the Lord Hanuman in the state which is so much long. Others statues are situated in the Chamba district which is about 20 feet long. The design of the statue was very beautiful and it is completely coloured with red colour.
Apart from the this statue this place is also famous for the beautiful view of the mountains which looks green in the summer and also the panoramic view of the Shimla city and the Ridge ground, in the night the view of this city is much beautiful than the day.

This temple is situated on the top of the hill which is about 500 meter from the Ridge ground. For this temple there is only taxi service is available no bus route is available, but in coming times may be local buses are available. This temple is situated in the Shimla district which is connected across the all the part of the country by road, train as well as aeroplane. So you can easily reach this place bus as well as Train and aeroplane.
The best season to visit this place is in summer during that this place is best for the wondering because climate is very good.
