History of the different districts of Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh: "Queen of Hills" and "Dev Bhoomi"
Here we are talking about the queen of hill which is known as Himachal Pradesh. It became the 18th state of the India. Now it has 12 districts which are Chamba, Shimla, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kinnuar, Lahual and Spiti, Solan and Sirmaur. It is also known as the "Land of God" or "Dev Bhoomi" because here so many temples of different God are situated, in which every year different festivals are celebrated. Its famous festivals are International Minjar Festival, Lavi Fair, Renuka Fair, International Shiv Ratri festival and International Kullu's Dussehra. Ravi River, Satluj and Chenab River are the man River which flows in this district.
Shimla is the capital of the state. The total area of the state is about 65652 square km and the literacy rate is about 85%.
Currently the Chief Minister of the state is Raja VirBhadra Singh; which is elected for the 6th times as CM of the state. The governor of the state is Urmila Singh.

Shimla: Queen of Hill
Shimla is the capital of the state. During the British times it was the summer capital of the nation. It is also known as "Queen of the Hill", because this place is famous for the hill station and heavy snow fall. As it is the capital of the state, so all the government offices headquarters, Vidhan Sabha and High Court is situated here. Himachal Pradesh University is also situated in the summer hill.

Here in this district there are so many places for wondering like Ridge, Jakhoo temple and Lakkar Bazaar. Other places are like Kufri, which is about 9 km from ISBT, is famous for zoo and Horse riding and other adventures. Rampur Bushar which is about 150 km from the Shimla, this place is basically famous for the International Lavi Fair, which is one of the oldest Trade Fair of the country. Rohru, this place is basically famous for the Apples, in this area there are so many varieties of the Apples are available.
Kullu: city of Festivals
It is one of the districts of the Himachal Pradesh which is basically famous for the Festivals. Every year there are so many festivals are celebrated by the peoples on different occasion, but its famous and religious festival is International Dussehra, which is popular all over the world. This district is also famous for the hilly area, tracking and for Para-Gliding.
Main attraction and famous places
Here so many places for wondering but its famous places are Manali: which is one of the best tourist spot in the country where you can enjoy the horse riding, Para-Gliding, Balloon riding and ice skiing and other ice events. Other places are like Manikarn, Rohtang Pass and Bhuntar.
You can reach this place by bus as well as aeroplane. It is connected to the various part of the country by National Higways.
Mandi: City of temples
This district is basically famous for the temples; there are so many temples present in this district. State's first IIT institute is present in this district which was built in the 2011. This district is basically famous for the International Shiv Ratri festival which comes in the month of Feb or March.
Here so many government and privates engineering and other colleges are present.
Famous place for the wondering
Here so many places are situated for the wondering like Sundarnagar, Jogindernagra, Karsog and Shikari Mata temple.
Chmba: hilly area
This district was initially ruled by the local king Sahil Verman in the 17th century. Here so many places are situated for the wondering. It is basically famous for the heavy snow fall, hill area and temples. This district is situated on the bank of the Ravi River. Here so many temples and historical monuments are present like Bhuri Singh museum, LN temple, Chaurashi temple in Bharmaur and statue of Lord Shiva's in Khajjiar which is about 85 feet in height.

International Minjar Festival was its one of the famous festival which is celebrated every year in the month July and continues for the 14 days. Other small festivals are Suhi Mata festivals and Mani Mahesh Yatra.
Kangra
This district is basically famous for the international Cricket ground in Dharmsala which was built in the 2009 and the first international match played between the India and England. This is also famous for the Maclorganj, where so many monks and their guru Dalai Lama live; one of the best monasteries is situated in the Maclorganj. Apart from it in this district there is a temple of Jwala Mata in Jwala Ji and International Airport is situated in the Gaggal.
This district is also the centre of HPBSE and other organisations.
Solan: city of colleges and universites
This is one of the district of state which is basically famous for the institutes and university. Here about 12 universities and 10 institutes are present and about 30 plus schools are present which are affiliated by HP Board, CBSE and ICSE board. Baddi, Parwanoo and Barotiwala are its famous places which are basically known for Industrial Area.
Main place for the wondering in this district are like Chail, Kasauli and Ashani Khad.
Sirmaur: Famous for Renuka Fair
This district is basically famous for the Renuka fair which was one of the oldest fair of the state. Here so many places for wondering like Renuka Lake, Churdhar where statue of the Lord Shiva's is situated, Bhangani Temple in the Haripurdhar.
There are so many famous personalities of this district like Mohit Chauhan who is one of the best singers of the country and have won so many awards. The Great Khali is also from the Sirmaur who is first international wrestler from the India.
Lahaul and Spiti
This is the largest district of the state in area wise with lowest population. This is basically famous for the heavy snowfall and it is disconnected with other parts of the state for six month due to heavy snow fall.
Here so many places for the wondering in the Lahaul as well as in Spiti.
The area of this district is about 13000 square km.
Kinnuar: known for Biggest mountains
Kinnuar is one of the districts of the state which is basically famous for the Largest Mountains in the country. Here so many places for wondering like Tabo University and other agricultural universities and hydro projects.
This district is also famous for the production of the apples in large scale; the people of this area totally depend upon the earing of the apple and on sheep's and other animals.
Hamirpur: hottest part of the state
This is one of the hottest parts of the state and is basically famous for the temples. Here state's first NIT institute is situated and the centre of HPTU is also situated in this district.
This is one of the districts which has very good literacy rate.
Bilaspur
This district is basically famous for the festivals and temples. Here every year so many festivals are celebrated in the different parts. This district was formed in the mid-19th century about 1960-70.
Its famous temple is Baba Balak Nath temple in Shah Talai. Here one of the biggest lake Govind Sagar Lake and Asia's biggest Dam, Bhagra Dam is situated.
Una
This place is very hot in the summer and very cold during the winter and is basically famous for the Chintpurni temple. It is situated on the border of the Chandigarh.
