Four day Youth Festival begins in MLSM College, Sundarnagar
Four day long Youth Festivals begins today in the Maharaja Laxaman Sen Memorial degree college, Sundarnagar Mandi. The opening ceremony of the festivals today celebrated in the auditorium of the college which is inaugurated by the MLA of Sundernagar and Chief Parliamentary Secretary (CPS), Sohan Lal Thakur. In the opening ceremony he addresses the students of the college on the behalf of the Youth Festival and said that future of the state or the country is in the hand of the young youth. So the youth must have the ability to handle such a big pressure and don't get addicted towards the drugs which will spoil the life youth.
In the opening ceremony MLA also said the state government will spent more money on the education. He said the state government had spent 17% of the total budget of the education. On the behalf of this festival he sanctioned RS 1.50 Lakh for the stage of the college and also gives the RS 5000 to the participants of the festival.
Earlier in the morning the Principal of the college Ashok Sharma, along with staff welcomed the Chief Guest and also presented a memento to him. He also addresses the participants and encourages youth to participants more in this festival and stay away from the addiction of the drugs.
This year there are about 700 participants from the different colleges across the state have participated in this festival. All these participants will perform in the four day long festival. The closing ceremony will be held in the 21st September in the college in which Chief guest will addresses the participates and also gave the award to the different participates.
In the four day long festival there are so many cultural and other programs will be performed by the students of the different colleges in the college. Every day there are so many programs will be performed in the morning as well in the evening session.
The principal of the college appeal to the all the participants that please maintain the peace in the campus and don.t do any wrong work inside the campus as well as outside the campus.
