CM inaugurated the first skill centre in the Nahan yesterday. And said that three more centres and one ITI in each constituency will opened in the coming year.

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh inaugurated the first Centre of Excellence for Skill Development in the state to people by opening its newly constructed building at ITI, Nahan.
In the opening ceremony there are so many peoples were presents including Chief Parliamentary Secretary Vinay Kumar, Deputy Chairman, Planning Board, GR Musafir, Chairman, HIMFED, Ajay Bahadur Singh, former MLAs Harshwardhan Chauhan and Kush Parmar, president, District Congress Committee, Ajay Solanki , DGP Sanjay Kumar, Managing Director, HPSIDC and Information and Public Relations, Rajinder Singh, Director, Technical Education, Vijay Chandan, and other senior officials.
1.21RS crore was spent on the building infrastructure and it is a joint venture of the National Skill Development Council of the Government of India and IL&FS Skill development Corporation Limited and on this occasion the CM also dedicated a modern police station building at Nahan which had been constructed at a cost of RS 1.5 crore in the coming few years.
He said the government was laying emphasis on the skill development of youth to enhance their employability and generate self-employment opportunities. He said that this Scheme would benefit 83,000 youth this year and RS 500 crore would be spent on the scheme in the next five years where eligible educated youth in the age group of 18-35 years would be provided Rs 1,000 per month as Skill Development Allowance, he said. Persons with 50 per cent or more disability would get Rs 1,500 per month, he said.
He also said that centre would provide specialised training in hospitality, tourism and catering. Since the state had tremendous potential for tourism, the government would make all efforts to exploit tourism in the state.
Technical Education and Transport Minister GS Bali said Stressing the need for technical education, he said one ITI would be opened in every constituency and three more centre of excellence for skill development would be opened in the state to provide professional know-how to the youth. He said professional training would be provided to 50,000 students in the next four years. He said the ITI at Nahan had been linked with IL&FS Company, which would ensure hundred per cent placement to the students.
