CUHP open two campus in Kangra


Selection committee of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh has declared that they are going to up held the university model campus in the district of Kangra in Dehra and Dharamshala region in coming few years.

Selection committee of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh which was formed by the state Congress Government in the recent past, has recently made an announcement that two campus model will be upheld in the Kangra district at Dharmshala and Dehra. They have changed some term and condition of the previous agreements which are signed by the BJP government.


Furqan Quaran, the Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh said that Ministry of the Human Resource and Development had accepted the agreements. They are going to open a campus in the Dehra and one campus in the Dharmshala.


400 acres land will be provided for the Dharamshal campus and while 200 acres land will be provided ate the Dehra by the state government. He said that the request for the ministry of Forest has been sending for the approval of the land for the campus.


He also said that management, law and social science school will be set up in the Dharamshala and while engineering and medical school of the CUHP will be set up in the Dehra region in the coming few years.


However some sources said that the foundation stone of the campus will be lay down only if the forest department give the clearance order for converting the forest land for the other purpose.


While the president of the Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morch, Anurag Thakur today taking to the media person said that in Dehra region there are very few university campuses, so this area lack in the field of education and also the youth of this area are mostly unemployed. So government have to open the more campus at this region in the coming few years.
