On 28th and 29th September, two day Kishan Mela was celebrated in the Nauni which is about 15 km from the Solan on the Rajgarh road. This fair was celebrated every year in the month of September, in which so many peoples are come across the different part of district. History
This fair was started about 50 years ago by the local peoples of Solan. This festival is celebrated in the month of September because in this month peoples are not busy with work so they want to celebrate the enjoyment. So they started a festival in which all the farmers of the district will participate and enjoy the fair. The farmers have to lot of hard work for earning. This fair was firstly started in the 1970 after that every year this fair was celebrated by the peoples with enjoyment and enthusiasm.
Kishan fair 2013
This year Kishan Mela was started on the 28th of September. In the opening there are so many peoples came, the chief guest of the ceremony burn the candles and inaugurated the fair. In the opening ceremony, the songs and dance programs were performed by the school students.
On the first day of Fair there Kabbadi match played between the different teams. And on the second of the fair the semi-final and final of the Kabbadi match were played and winner team was awarded with cash prize and memento. There was also wrestling competition on the last day in which so many wrestlers are came from the different part of the state as well as out of state.
Aprt from it there are so many shops of the cosmetics, artificial jewellery, children toys and large numbers of sweets shops were present. Peoples buy so many things in the fair and enjoyed the fair.

This fair was celebrated in the Nauni which is about 15 km from Solan on the Rajgarh rod. This place is famous for the first Horticultural and Floricultural University of Asia was situated here which is known as Dr YS Parmar University of horticultural and Floricultural, Nauni. This is one of the famous places for the wondering in which you can see the different varieties of the flowers and fruits.
How to Reach
Nauni is about 15 km from Solan on the Rajgarh road. There are so many governments as well private buses are available. You can also reach this place by taxi from the Bye Pass or from the old bus stand of Solan.
