Naina Devi temple
Naina Devi Temple is one of the oldest and religious temples of the Bilaspur district as well as state. This temple was founded in the Mahabharata times in which there is a statue of Naina Devi is placed. This temple is situated on the top of the hill. When this temple was firstly founded than there is only a statue of the Mata but now it is a big temple there are so many other new temples are made.
There is also a small cave which is about 70 meter long and at a time about 20to 25 people can stay inside the cave. When you visit the temple and you go to the cave than you find that this cave was very old which is surrounded with stones and inside the cave there is a statue of Mata is placed. When you enter the cave than there is a small idol of Hanuman is placed which is of Red color.
In the main temple you have to standing in the row for taking the blessing of the Mata. When you go to the main temple than you see that is a statue of the Naina Mata is placed and in front of it there are so many other idols of different gods are placed. On the right side of the temple there is place where you can fire the all things like peanuts and so more.
Nearby places for the wondering
There are so many places for the wondering nearby temples like about 500 meter from the temple there is a Children Park where so many statues and different varieties of flowers are present. You can also sit in the park and enjoy the peace of the park.
This temple is situated on the top of the hill so you can also enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains which are covered with trees.
About 50 km from temple there is a famous lake of the Bilaspur district known as Satluj Lake where you can enjoy the boating and if you are expert in swimming than you can also enjoy the swimming.
How to Reach
There are basically two ways to reach the temple by bus via Swarghat or via Anandour Sahib. When you are coming from Chandigarh than you have to firstly go to the Anandpur Shaib on the Una road, from there Naina Devi temple is about 30 to 40 km. after that you have to go through bus, lift or walk on the foot.
From Bilaspur via Swarghat it is about 100 km. You can reach this temple only by bus or taxi; there is no other way to reach the temple.
