Earth Hour Day is the special day which is initially celebrated in the Sydney city in Australia in order to save the electricity in the world, and after that this day was celebrated every year by the different counties across the world. The main purposes of this day to save the electricity and reduce the effect og global warming on the earth and keep our world free from the global warming, so that we can live safely on this planet.
On the 29th March this year when the world is celebrating this day then Himachal Pradesh state is not away from this day and they also celebrates this day by switching their office's home's and organization light from the 8:30pm to 9:30pm for the one hour in the Shimla district and also in other districts of the states.
On the same day the principle of the Government Girl Senior Secondary School, Portmor addresses the students and tells them about the importance of this day. She also said that why we organize this day and what is the main purposes behind this day. She also appeals to the students to aware their family and friends about this day and join in this day so that they can save the electricity as well as environment.
St. Thomson School has also celebrates this day by conducting the huge rallies on the Ridge ground in which so many students and teacher have participated and aware the peoples about this day and tell him to join on the Earth Hour Day in the late night by switching their light for one hour.
On the Saturday night in the night when this day was celebrated by the peoples then this city is lighted with candle light on the Ridge ground and city is lighted again after the one hour. On this day so many peoples have together on the ridge and light the candle for one hour.
