On 15th April every year 'Himachal Day' will be celebrated in the Himachal Pradesh state. The first Himachal day was held on 15th April 1948 and after that it was held on the same day every year.

Himachal Pradesh is the one of the beautiful state of the country which is situated in the Northern part of the state. It is basically popular for the snow fall, high mountain range, different varieties of flora and fauna. This state was initially formed in the 1971 years and after that it has made so many developments in the state. History of Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh, which is one of the fast growing state in the country situated on the top of the North part. Before the independence most of the areas of this state was the part of Punjab state and during that time this region was divided into four different region such Chamba, Mandi, Shimla etc. and during that time these three areas had made so many progress in the infrastructure as well as in the transport and also they have created so many historical monuments which you can see nowadays in the state.
But after the independence, in 1948 this state has been declared as union territory and on the 15th April Chief Commission inaugurated this territory and after that this day was celebrated as 'Himachal Day' every year. But later in the 1970 this union territory has been declared as separate state on 25th January 1971 it became the 18th state of the country.
Presently this state has about fifty five thousand square km area spread in the both plane as well as on hilly areas. It has total 12 district including Chamba, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Kangra, Solan, Sirmaur, Shimla, Mandi, Kullu, Kinnuar, Una and Lahual and Spiti, and Shimla is the capital of the state and most crowded place where 30% people's lives in the urban area. All the administrative and other state levels as well as district level offices are situated in this district.
This is the 17th biggest state of the country in area wise and 20th biggest state in population wise. This state is situated in the middle of the Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Uttrakhand and Tibet border. This state is totally connected with NH (National Highway), rail line and aero plane.
67th Himachal Day
On the 15th April state will going to celebrate the 'Himachal Day' in the different parts of the state. On this day students and other minister will take part in the ceremony and students will take part in the Parade. One of the famous 'Himachal Day' celebration will held on the Ridge ground, so if you want to see the celebration of this day you can visit the capital of the state Shimla and enjoy this day with friends and family.
