Shoolini Fair is one of the famous fair of Himachal Pradesh which is celebrated in the Solan District. This festival was celebrated every year in the month of June and which will continues for the several days in which so many cultural programs, night programs and other exhibition programs will be takes place. This year this festival will be started from the 20th June in the Todo Ground and which will continue for the next three days. History of Shoolini Fair
It is one of the oldest fair of the Solan district as well as state which was initially started in the 17th century in the memory of Shoolini Mata. It is believed that during the ancient time a lady whose name was Shoolini was lived here in this place and she has do lots good works and sacrifice and peoples will think that she is their god, but one day she will die. So the people have started fair every year in order to remember year, so that every peoples will know her sacrifice which she has made and lots of people will follow him to become a good person. After that this fair was celebrated every year in the month of June in which so many peoples will participates across the different part of state as well as outside the state. The name of this state was also taken from the name of the Shoolini Mata that's why this district is known as Solan.

Shoolini Fair 2014 will be started from the 20th June and which will continue for the next three days in which so many cultural programs will be takes place. This fair will be held in the Todo Ground which is about 2 km from the bus stand on the Rajgarh road. In the opening ceremony of fair so many people will be present and it is heard that CM of the state will inaugurate the opening ceremony, but it is not sure, so let's what happen in the opening ceremony which be held on Sunday. 
Main attraction of Shoolini Fair
The main attraction of the fair will be the cultural programs perform by the local artist of the state in the day. Apart from it night programs will be also held every day in which local as well Punjabi singer will entertainment the peoples. But the society of the Shoolini Fair Association has not announced the name of the singer but it is sure that night programs will be held. Apart from that you can also enjoy the different exhibition held by the government as well non-government organization. You can also eat the local sweets of the Solan district. There is also wrestling competition on the last day of the fair in which so many wrestlers from the state as well as outside participate and winner will be awarded with cash price as well as memento.
How to reach
This fair will be celebrated every year in Todo Ground which is about 2 km from the bus stand. So when you reach the Solan ISBT then you can take three wheelers or you can also take local blue line buses. This fair every year was celebrated in the month of June, so whenever you want to visit the Solan district then it is the best time to visit this place because you can also enjoy this fair.
